To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose, under heaven

– The Byrds

He’s into books, with a penchant for Lincoln, American History, and religion. She’s into cute little birds and ready to entertain in any season. From wise “old friends” to the littlest ones, there’s something to delight everyone here. Come help us, help them, wrap up the final details of this chapter so they can settle in and freely enjoy the next.

We’re a little early for Christmas preparation, but there are those that believe it’s NEVER too early. Charming mix of vintage and new, bought and handmade Christmas ornaments and decor. Several artificial, potted Christmas trees. A few small electronics, including a Mac PowerBook 3400C, VCR and DVD players, and a Sony CD boombox.
(Ok, it’s a radio, but isn’t boombox way more fun to say?)

Look at those Otagiri Mushroom soup mugs! A set of 6! Pyrex “Friendship” nesting bowls in wonderful condition. Revere Ware pots, Pyrex, Corning, Crock Pots, adorable vintage floral pattern drinking glasses, cast iron, very gently used kitchen basics like pans, casseroles, dish sets, glassware, etc. Lots of vintage cleaning and beauty supplies, as well as new items. Many beautiful tablecloths and placemats for hosting. Lots of lovely and well-kept home decor to choose from. Wall art, mirrors, picture frames, knickknacks, etc. Cute collection of purple glass and vases.

I was honestly surprised (in the best way) by some of the fashion found here. When I complimented the owner on her taste she said, “Thank you! I only bought the nicest things. They may not have been the most expensive things, but they were the nicest!” She’s right, and there’s something to suit all tastes here.

Bins and bins of clean and folded men’s and women’s clothes from many household and designer names. Items range in age from vintage to brand new with tags still attached. Some of the names noticed were Michael Kors, Karen Scott, Lucky Brand, Chico’s, Express, St John, Sonoma, Skechers, Nunn Bush, and so many more. Handbags, shoes, hats and scarves galore, and bins of cozy warm winterwear. Both inside the house and garage there are lots of linens to sort through. Sheets, bedding, blankets, towels and more. Lots of rugs.

Complete and pristine oak and rattan bedroom set from Vaughan of Virginia, including armoire, lowboy dresser with mirror, twin bed / mattress, and a pair of nightstands. Small, solid oak rolltop writing desk. A classically styled oak dining table with seating for six. This table is in near perfect condition, remaining safely covered under its pad and tablecloth, but no less enjoyed by the generations it hosted. Oak living room furniture, console table, and extremely clean and well cared for floral tapestry couch and loveseat. Solid wood headboard and queen mattress set. Solid wood Chippendale style secretary desk. Upstairs there is a full sized, white metal bed frame and mattress set, and matching accent furniture.

If you’re a fan of Abraham Lincoln, that small, full bookshelf holds quite the collection. The cabinet across from it holds even more American History books as well. Lots of DVD and Blu-ray discs. German made Antonius Stradivarius Violin copy, circa 1920s, in truly stunning condition with original case. A fun collection of yearbooks from mid-late 1950s from Loma Del Mar and Copa de Oro. The cutest set of vintage “Pocket Dolls” – have you ever seen these or this many together before!?

Camping gear including Coleman cots and a brand new Coleman propane grill. Gorgeous vintage 7′ Wright & McGill fishing rod. New glass patio tables. Many long handle gardening tools, pots, and yard maintenance items. Patio table & chairs, another set of rocker chairs and a couple small bistro tables.

There are several bins of mixed items to pick through, some are new, unopened items like school supplies, cleaning items, travel accessories, etc., while others feature hardware, gardening, and holiday items. We’ve spread them throughout the estate so there’s room to stretch out and peruse.

Here are some things to note about the property:

PARKING: This will be far less challenging this week; however, we’ll still need to be aware of a couple things. Across the street from the home are mailboxes – PLEASE do not use this area for parking. It’s active all day and we want to be welcomed back to the area for future sales. Please do not block driveways.
The property driveway will be used for loading only.

STAIRS/TERRAIN: Some of the items pictured are either upstairs or require a little trek down the backside of the property. This trek is uneven and taken at your own risk. Please use good judgment or ask before you explore. You will be asked to provide your own labor for removing items from the sale.

*** A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came out last week and showed the utmost respect to the neighborhood with the parking challenges and to our client and the areas and items in the home that were off limits or not for sale. Everyone was so thoughtful and respectful and we are GRATEFUL for your help with those things. You all helped make Eclectic Estates look professional and on top of the game for our client –
THANK YOU ALL. See you Friday, friends!! ***
